Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, ensuring that their daily needs are met with dignity and respect. You will play a vital role in assisting with care plans and promoting the well-being of our clients.
Responsibilities
* Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Support clients in daily activities such as meal preparation, medication management, and mobility assistance.
* Maintain accurate records of client care and progress, ensuring adherence to care plans.
* Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to provide updates on client status.
* Drive clients to appointments or activities as required, ensuring their safety during transport.
* Participate in training sessions to enhance skills in IT and communication relevant to healthcare practices.
* Uphold the highest standards of hygiene and safety within the care environment.
Experience
* Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not essential.
* Familiarity with developing and implementing care plans is desirable.
* Strong communication skills in English are required to interact effectively with clients and team members.
* A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients as needed.
