We are looking for full time dedicated children's home waking night support workers, to be part of a team offering a comprehensive residential service to children and young people who have a diagnosed learning disability. The aim being to ensure the physical, social and emotional well-being of the children/young people, and assist in their positive holistic development, we require passionate and driven people who want to make a significant difference to the lives of vulnerable children, supporting them with independence, being able to follow their support plans and behaviour support plans consistently and being able to develop a strong bond and trusting relationship.
This post for support worker is flexible working and the home is open 24hrs a day seven days a week, we do not close and the rota needs to be covered during all school holidays and festive periods such as easter, Christmas ect
For the waking night post you will be asked to work your hours on a flexible rota between the hours of 8pm-8am or 8/9pm/10pm-9/10am Monday to Sunday – the whole year round
Diploma level 3 in residential childcare desirable, or a willingness to complete this qualification in the time scale set in the Children's Homes Regulations 2015.
