What you’ll be doing
as a Technical Training Consultant
1. Ensure a standardised high level of delivery across the Thames Water campus in line with all Thames Water training delivery standards.
2. Identify opportunities for the development of existing training material in line with changes to process, legislation, or equipment to meet the needs of individual and collective business areas
3. Review all learning to identify possible amendments to the delivery medium without impacting the message or competency outcomes, working closely with the wider business, Operations, Health and Safety, L&D Managers and Design Studio to determine the most favourable outcome for learners
4. Maintain knowledge of field operations, including processes, asset standard amendments and regulatory requirements, implementing any changes to training materials as required.
5. Work with key stakeholders across Thames Water to identify training needs and identify opportunities to drive trainer and competency efficiencies.
6. The ability to support the design and delivery of training as required, including excellent planning and communication skills.
7. Wastewater specific – you will be involved in the coaching, assessing and sign off of new starters completing the Tech 1 programme.
Base location: Flexible base locations at one of our sites – hybrid
Working pattern: 36 Hours
What you should bring to the role
8. Full UK driving licence
9. Excellent communication and engagement skills
10. Passion to share knowledge and experience while supporting the learner journey
11. Training delivery background
12. Willingness to travel across the Thames Water region to deliver training
13. Training qualification and/or IOSH/NEBOSH qualifications are desirable
