Overview
Major IT have partnered with a global player in the FMCG and Food Manufacturing business. This client operates across 8 national UK sites with international food production and supply chain management into 17 countries. A brand new role is created to bring inhouse a fully functional IT specialist team to support three core sites in Glasgow, Scunthorpe and Burton.
Responsibilities
* Lead and integrate an inhouse IT specialist team to support core sites.
* Provide 1st and 2nd line IT support with commercial troubleshooting experience where appropriate, including working knowledge of O365, Windows 10, servers 2016/19 and firewall security exposure.
* Problem solve and work effectively with internal teams, including close collaboration with the IT manager based at the Burton office.
* Gain experience with core networking systems including routers, switches, WiFi backups and VOIP systems.
* Support the technical estate from desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, touchscreens and internal telephone systems.
* Use the JIRA system to manage service desk tickets and ensure requests are responded to within agreed SLAs.
* Application to networking exposure of CISCO and DNS/DHCP knowledge is desirable.
* Due to role/location, you will need access to a car and be onsite 5 days per week.
Qualifications
* Experience as an IT technical specialist or field-based role with 1st/2nd line support experience.
* Working knowledge of O365, Windows 10, Windows Server 2016/19 and firewall security.
* Proven problem-solving ability and effective collaboration with IT teams.
* Core networking exposure to CISCO, DNS/DHCP knowledge.
* Desirable certifications: CCNA or Network+.
* Onsite availability 5 days per week and car access.
