Brook Street are recruiting a Registered Children's Manager for a four-bedroom home in Swansea. You will be responsible for ensuring high standards of care are provided and continued, driven by a dedicated and compassionate individual, passionate about their responsibilities. You will ensure that children receive the support they need to thrive. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills and with experience in medication administration.
Duties
Oversee and manage the daily operations of the children's care home, ensuring adherence to all regulatory standards.
Create, implement, and regularly assess personalised care plans for each child, supporting their physical, emotional, and social growth.
Administer prescribed medications and ensure accurate and thorough record-keeping.
Lead and support a team of care staff, offering guidance, training, and encouragement to maintain a high standard of care.
Cultivate a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for children, promoting their active involvement in activities that foster personal development.
Work collaboratively with health care professionals, families, and external agencies to coordinate and enhance care.
Continuously monitor the well-being of children, promptly addressing any concerns with appropriate actions.
Qualifications
QCF Level 5 in Health and Social care (or working towards) with relevant experience in the sector
2 Years minimum experience
Demonstrated experience in administering medication in a care home or nursing home setting.
In-depth knowledge of assisted living principles and practices, particularly in children's care.
Exceptional leadership abilities, with a proven track record of managing teams effectively and promoting a positive work culture.
Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to connect empathetically with children, families, and staff.
Strong experience in creating and implementing personalised care plans based on individual needs is highly preferred.
