The Role
Otis is currently recruiting for a HR Business Partner to provide significant commercial HR support in an environment where service delivery is paramount. You will work closely with senior leaders and functional support teams, providing a mix of “hands-on” operational HR guidance as well as strategic partnering.
The role is initially on a 12-month fixed term contract basis, but there may be opportunities to extend for a permanent role at the conclusion of the contract. The responsibilities will include, but are not limited to;
* Facilitating and implementing leadership initiatives within the business area of responsibility to achieve a stimulated, engaged, diverse and performing organisation where individuals feel valued, add value and are aligned to our culture and company values,
* Contribution to and implementation of a best in class employee lifecycle model to anticipate, source, engage, reward, develop and retain key skills and experience.
* Developing positive working relationships with all stakeholders within the business area of responsibility for the purposes of providing information, consulting and negotiating on people matters and organisational change initiatives
* Facilitating training and coaching for managers as required. (E&LR, new supervisor training, diversity and inclusion philosophies, positive employee relations training, talent management, etc.)
* Navigating the operational complexities both internal and external to the business area of responsibility by analysing data and utilising subject matter experts and networks to resolve challenges arising and make sound business decisions.
* Partnering to ensure adherence to employment laws and regulatory requirements
To be successful in this role you will have the following skills/knowledge:
* Significant experience in an HR Manager or HR Business Partner capacity
* Degree qualified at Bachelors or MSc level in Business or equivalent relevant experience
* CIPD qualified
* Ability to translate business opportunities into effective HR solutions. Anticipate future needs and proactively develop organisation and people strategies to address them.
* Demonstrable experience as consultant and coach to business leaders and managers
* Demonstrable experience in continuous review and improvement of people processes and procedures to meet operational requirements
* Relevant experience within the UK and Ireland an advantage
* Relevant experience within the Engineering or Construction sector or Elevator and Escalator industry an advantage
