We are seeking a highly organised, detail-focused, and proactive Stores Person to join a busy Aviation MRO facility near Heathrow Airport. This is a pivotal role within the operation, ensuring the accurate receipt, storage, movement, and dispatch of aircraft components. This is a very physical role with manual handling involved. Your work will directly support production operations, ensuring technicians receive the right parts at the right time to keep aircraft safe, compliant, and operational, whilst maintaining strict aviation traceability and regulatory standards. Role: Stores Person Location: Hayes, West London Hours: Full-time. Week 1 earlies (6am-2pm), Week 2 lates (2pm-10pm) Salary: £25,000 - £28,000 DOE PLUS shift allowance Main responsibilities: Managing the picking, packing, issuing, returning, and storage of aircraft components in full compliance with aviation requirements Processing Goods In/Goods Out activities, verifying certification, part numbers, quantities, and condition of materials Accurately recording all transactions within the inventory management system (SAP) Correctly storing, labelling, and segregating components, including shelf-life control, hazardous materials, bonded stock, quarantine procedures, and part preservation Ensuring compliance with Safety, Environmental, and Quality procedures, maintaining an audit-ready warehouse environment Preparing shipments to regulatory standards and supporting logistics activities Operating lifting equipment such as forklifts, pallet trucks, and overhead cranes (training provided if required) Assisting with stock checks and cycle counts to maintain high inventory accuracy Collaborating closely with Production, Quality, Purchasing, and Engineering teams Supporting continuous improvement and LEAN initiatives Ideal candidate profile: Experience within an aviation maintenance or regulated warehousing environment preferred. Forklift and/or overhead crane experience is desirable (training and certification can be provided) Ability to pass background checks required for working in a known consignor area (where applicable) Experience using inventory or ERP systems (SAP experience beneficial).
