Eventus Legal is recruiting for an experienced and professional Private Client Paralegal to join a well‑established and expanding law firm in Ilkley, West Yorkshire. In this role, you will provide comprehensive administrative and paralegal support to Fee Earners within the Private Client department, playing a key part in the smooth running of the team. Role Responsibilities
The incoming Private Client Paralegal will have experience of working within a busy department and be confident when communicating with clients. You will be organised, efficient and know how to follow up on and prioritise tasks:
* Manage client matters efficiently and accurately using the Proclaim case management system, ensuring full compliance with firm standards and regulatory requirements
* Prepare, organise, and securely archive legal files and supporting documentation in line with best practice procedures
* Coordinate fee earner diaries, including scheduling client appointments, meetings, and other commitments as required
* Produce client correspondence using audio typing, word processing, and digital dictation to a high standard of accuracy and presentation
* Handle client and third-party calls, enquiries, and requests professionally and promptly, ensuring a high level of service in line with the Client Charter
* Take ownership of incoming emails, post, photocopying, and a range of general administrative tasks as required
* Witness the signing of wills and other legal documents in accordance with required procedures
* Prepare client invoices and assist in the management of account ledgers, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
* Provide administrative and operational support to other assistants and the wider management team as needed
Person Specification
* Must have proven and demonstrated experience within a similar environment, specifically Private Client (essential)
* Listen attentively to clients and colleagues and respond in a clear, approachable, respectful, and professional manner
* Able to produce clear, concise, and accurate written communication with strong attention to grammar and punctuation, maintaining the firm’s professional tone and brand image
* Demonstrate strong ability to manage, prioritise, and take ownership of tasks, using time and resources efficiently and effectively
* Confident in the use of Microsoft Office applications and case management systems, including Proclaim
* Works collaboratively, respectfully and constructively with colleagues, contributing positively to a supportive and friendly working environment
