The Category Manager will identify value and service delivery improvements throughout the supply chain for NMG, driving best possible value across the procurement function.
Key Responsibilities
* Identifying, executing and implementing end‑to‑end strategic sourcing strategies.
* Segmenting suppliers on a commercial and risk basis and recommending an appropriate supplier‑management approach.
* Overseeing ongoing performance and relationship management of key suppliers.
* Acting as a centre of excellence on contractual matters and providing purchasing advice; holding quarterly reviews with senior stakeholders.
* Identifying category opportunities to benefit the company.
* Supporting tender evaluations and leading supplier negotiations focusing on the commercial element.
* Agreeing an annual savings target with the Strategic Purchasing Manager and delivering against it.
* Developing a regular reporting framework for each project to demonstrate delivery against the agreed savings target, including all necessary documentation and savings sign‑off.
* Developing a stakeholder management and engagement plan for tailored approaches to all key stakeholders.
Candidate Requirements
* Educated to a degree level.
* CIPS qualification.
* Confident with Microsoft Excel.
