Role purpose
Under the leadership of a senior members of the procurement team you will support our project and business units by, engaging with the supply chain to deliver an enhanced level of value to each project / business unit and a tangible contribution to the Laing O'Rourke business in its pursuit to exceed the expectations of its clients and stakeholders.
Key Deliverables & Accountabilities:
* Implementation of procurement strategies and processes.
Assist with;
o Sourcing and formally agreeing an appropriate supply chain
o Compiling robust tender enquiries
o The formal tender process
o The co-ordination of the commercial and technical reviews of tender returns through engagement with other specialist functions (i.e., HSE, technical compliance, quality, commercial, construction, planning, contractual services/ legal, logistics, industrial relations, etc), as appropriate
o The tender negotiation process
o Robust and complete recommendations for formal award approval(s)
o Drafting, issue and execution of contracts in accordance with LOR guidelines and Corporate Governance
o Supply chain performance management and reporting
• To apply an ethical and consistent approach to the responsible procurement of goods and services to ensuring compliance with the LOR corporate governance and Procurement best practice throughout the Procurement process and the supply chain.

The nature of this role will require the Procurement Professional to attend project/business locations which will include the flexibility to meet project and business requirements.
