About the apprenticeship
Duties
As a Production Apprentice, this is brilliant opportunity to learn, grow, and contribute – could be:
•Learning how we shoot and deliver film content for young people
•Learning about the process of commissioning and producing animation
•Getting opportunities to produce promotional social content
•Visiting schools to understand our learners’ needs
•Developing an understanding of the layers of production processes needed to make entertaining and digital educational content for one of the BBC’s biggest brands.
You’ll be learning both on and off the job. This means that as well as learning on your placement at the BBC, you’ll also attend learning blocks (a week or two at a time) with our learning provider, working towards an industry recognised qualification, Level 3 Diploma in Digital and Creative Media. Learning blocks will be delivered in-person.
Additional information
BBC Wales Education are a production and commissioning department working on one of the BBC's biggest services for young people - BBC Bitesize. You'll be part of a friendly team that makes fresh, bilingual content for young people aged 3-16 which is seen by millions. Our content sparks curiosity and gets learners across Wales thinking! From the very first idea to the big launch, you'll be right at the heart of it all, working side-by-side with brilliant editorial and technical teams to help bring brand-new, high quality content to life. BBC Education’s mission is simple – to transform lives through learning. During school lockdowns, the department delivered the biggest educational service in BBC history through BBC Bitesize – and huge new audiences came to discover our content. We’ve kept that momentum going, creating even more exciting content for learners across Wales.
