We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Band 7 Sonographer to join our dynamic and patient-focused imaging team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the independent performance and interpretation of a wide range of ultrasound examinations, including obstetric, gynaecological, general abdominal, small parts, and vascular scans.
The role involves advanced clinical decision-making, mentoring junior staff, and contributing to service development. A commitment to maintaining high standards of care, accuracy, and professionalism is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
* Independently perform and report a wide range of ultrasound examinations to a high standard.
* Ensure all ultrasound investigations are carried out with patient safety, dignity, and comfort as priorities.
* Provide expert advice to clinicians regarding scan findings to inform patient management.
* Assist in the development and implementation of new protocols, procedures, and best practices.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of ultrasound techniques and developments through CPD.
* Liaise effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of patient care.
* Participate in departmental meetings, case reviews, and peer reviews.
Essential Criteria:
* Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent.
* Qualification in Medical Ultrasound
* Registration with HCPC
* Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience in ultrasound.
* Proficient in a broad range of ultrasound examinations.
* Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
* Able to work autonomously and make sound clinical decisions.
