Requirements
You will have 60 relevant credit points towards the first year of a social work degree (such as HNC in social care or social sciences, K100, K101, or DD100).
Responsibilities
You will provide supervisory and support services and carry a caseload of appropriate cases. You will work alongside and under the direction of a senior or qualified worker to carry out specific tasks.
The Individual
You will have experience of assessment and care planning in a health/social care setting and be able to identify risk and respond appropriately. You will be able to work on your own initiative, manage your own caseload, and meet deadlines. Experience working with risk and the ability to respond appropriately is essential. You should have good personal care skills, and excellent oral and written communication skills, and be able to contribute to planning and decision-making. Flexibility to work outside regular hours (8am to 8pm) and participate in duty cover for the team/service is required. A full current driving licence is also essential.
These posts are considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Dundee City Council.
