About the Role

GP Practice Experience Essential

Are you a dynamic leader ready for a new challenge in healthcare management? Passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and leading high-performing teams? Join us at Practice Plus as an Administration/Operations Manager at The Junction Health Centre, working full-time (37.5 hours/week) on a permanent basis.

About the Role

We’re looking for a proactive, forward-thinking Operations Manager to play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence and team development. You’ll lead the Administration and Reception teams, act as a key liaison within the wider primary care team, and support both clinical and service management functions. Your leadership will help shape an outstanding patient experience and efficient day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead, motivate, and develop the non-clinical team through regular 1-to-1s, performance reviews, and tailored development plans.
* Provide ongoing coaching and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
* Manage and resolve patient complaints professionally and promptly.
* Oversee daily administrative operations, ensuring compliance with Practice Plus policies and healthcare regulations.
* Act as a point of escalation for complex administrative and reception issues.
* Support the Service Manager and clinical team in service planning and quality improvement initiatives.
* Take ownership of health and safety within the practice.


Who We’re Looking For

* Proven people management experience with direct line management responsibility—ideally in a healthcare or GP setting.
* Strong track record in team leadership, development, and performance management.
* Skilled in handling complaints with sensitivity and professionalism.
* Solid understanding of healthcare governance, quality assurance, and operational procedures.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
* Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and thrive under pressure.
