Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling materials, assisting with shipping and receiving, and maintaining stock levels within a fast-paced warehouse environment. Responsibilities
* Handling materials efficiently, including loading, unloading, and moving stock throughout the warehouse
* Operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely (training provided if necessary)
* Managing inventory using warehouse management systems to ensure accurate stock levels
* Preparing items for shipment by picking, packing, and organising orders according to specifications
* Assisting with shipping and receiving activities to ensure timely dispatch and receipt of goods
* Stocking shelves and organising storage areas to optimise space utilisation
* Conducting quality control checks to identify damaged or defective items
* Performing heavy lifting tasks safely while adhering to health and safety regulations
* Maintaining a clean and organised work environment at all times
Experience
* Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for all necessary skills
* Familiarity with materials handling equipment such as forklifts is advantageous
* Knowledge of warehouse management systems or inventory software is a plus
* Experience in shipping & receiving, picking & packing, and stock management is desirable
* Mechanical knowledge or understanding of warehouse equipment will be considered an asset
* Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in stock control and quality assurance processes
