Job Overview
This is an exciting opportunity to join our audiology service as a full‑time Senior Administrator. The role supports the smooth running of our audiology service across East Sussex, ensuring the service remains family‑friendly and patient‑focused to meet the needs of our deaf patients.
The role is based at Avenue House, Eastbourne; occasional off‑site work may be required.
Responsibilities
* Manage referrals, book appointments, and maintain waiting lists.
* Audio‑type referral letters and electronic documents, including working with the audiology electronic patient record system (Auditbase).
* Handle telephone queries and provide support to Band 2 administrators.
* Communicate daily with patients, audiology clinical staff and other services to address enquiries and resolve issues.
* Assist the Lead Administrator and Admin Supervisor in ensuring the smooth running of the service, maintaining a professional and patient‑focused approach.
* Support Band 2 administrators to maintain high quality and performance and support their wellbeing.
Qualifications
* Experience as an administrator, skilled in customer service and managing service user queries.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email, and ability to learn new systems.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks.
* Flexible approach to work and ability to support colleagues.
