Sales Specialist
Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for selling products, systems, and services within a designated market/division, aligned with the division strategy. Your daily objectives include achieving qualitative and quantitative sales targets to ensure sustainable growth in orders, revenues, profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction. You will also identify and develop new sales opportunities. The work model is: Full Time / Remote in Nova Scotia, contributing to the sales functions in Atlantic Canada. Main stakeholders are partner distributors. Your main responsibilities include:
1. Serving as the direct point-of-contact for all channel and end-user customers in the territory.
2. Meeting or exceeding the Integration Commercial Business Plan and associated KPIs; exploring new market opportunities as per go-to-market strategies.
3. Collaborating with price management to evaluate price/volume tradeoffs and approving or disapproving business opportunities.
4. Providing updates to senior management on strategic business opportunities.
5. Coordinating activities within the sales team to maximize efficiency and opportunities.
6. Participating in sales presentations, negotiations, and customer visits.
7. Providing market feedback that could influence future strategies.
8. Identifying cross-division opportunities within ABB and collaborating to provide comprehensive solutions.
9. Implementing programs and processes to maximize margins and revenue in line with the business plan.
Qualifications for the role
* 2 to 5 years of Sales and/or Marketing experience.
* At least 2 years of experience in a B2B environment.
* Familiarity with the electrical industry and go-to-market strategies.
* A business degree is an asset.
* Leadership and communication skills.
* Strong business acumen and strategic thinking.
* Process improvement orientation.
* Project management experience is an asset.
* Fluent in English (spoken and written).
* Motivated, self-starter, independent worker, eager to learn.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
