Position
We are looking for a qualified Level 3 Nursery Nurse to join our team at Kiddies Cabin, Maidenhead within Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.
Location
Kiddies Cabin, Maidenhead.
Salary
£27,106 to £28,850 (annual).
Working Hours
Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 6:00 pm (37.5 hrs/week, rota basis). Closed on bank holidays and during the Christmas/New Year period.
Role Overview
You will care for a group of children aged 6 months to reception, providing daily care, activities and developmental reviews. You will support children to become independent, creative and confident, plan engaging activities and build strong relationships with parents. You will maintain a positive, caring approach and collaborate with the nursery team and area SENCO to support children with special needs.
Responsibilities
* Encourage all areas of children’s development within EYFS with appropriate activities, play opportunities and innovative programming.
* Compile and maintain development records and report to the Team Leader at agreed intervals.
* Provide a stimulating, friendly and caring environment at all times.
* Demonstrate good practice with regard to special needs and inclusion, working with the nursery and area SENCO as appropriate.
* Carry out all related responsibilities as a key carer, building relationships with a small group of children and their families.
* Work with Early Years and other professional teams to continually improve quality of care and education and keep up to date with current developments in childcare practice and policy.
Qualifications and Experience
* NVQ Level 3 in childcare or equivalent qualification listed on the Education.gov.uk qualification finder.
* Understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
* Knowledge of safeguarding children and child protection.
