ROLE: Junior Mechanical Engineer
HOURS: 40 per week
LOCATION: Birmingham, West Midlands, England, B37 7ES

We're looking for a Junior Mechanical Engineer who will undertake mechanical repairs, maintenance tasks and minor installations of mechanical equipment within a commercial environment.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Undertake planned maintenance activities and repairs on all mechanical equipment, including pumps and mechanical drive systems
2. Diagnose and repair simple and complex faults, identifying and actioning any remedial works required
3. Produce permits to work and risk assessments, ensuring all tasks are completed safely and within contractual timescales
4. Work collaboratively with team members and visiting sub-contractors, ensuring high standards of work and Health & Safety compliance
5. Maintain accurate documentation, use handheld technology effectively, and build excellent customer relationships with on-site clients
Required Qualifications:
6. Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, including apprenticeship training
7. City & Guilds Level qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant mechanical discipline
8. Experience in maintenance, testing and fault finding on a variety of mechanical equipment in commercial environments
9. Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and safe working practices
