Assistant Exams Officer – Location: Swindon. Salary: £25,086 per annum. Closing Date: 28/09/2025.
Love a good checklist? You might be their next Assistant Examinations Officer. If your idea of a good day involves colour-coded spreadsheets, perfectly aligned paperwork and knowing everything is exactly where it should be, this role was made for you. You will help keep exam operations running like a well-oiled machine, ensuring students are entered correctly, papers are in the right place at the right time and results are delivered without a hitch. In short, you will be the calm in the exam-season storm.
Responsibilities
* Support the organisation and delivery of exams across the academic year
* Help students and staff navigate exam entries, fees and regulations
* Coordinate the practical side of exams – room bookings, seating plans, invigilators and more
* Ensure exam materials are secure, scripts are sent off correctly and results are issued smoothly
* Keep systems updated, records accurate and everyone informed
Requirements
* A sharp eye for detail and a love of organisation
* Great communication skills – you\'ll be dealing with everyone from students to senior staff
* Confidence with Microsoft Office and a knack for learning new systems
* A calm, can-do attitude (especially when things get busy)
* A commitment to confidentiality, compliance and doing things right the first time
Role details
This role is full time (Monday-Friday) working all year.
