We are seeking a full-time Consultant Clinical Scientist to join the Biochemistry Department at Glasgow Royal Infirmary, following the retirement of the current postholder. The role involves supporting the Clinical Biochemistry service across the North Glasgow Sector, with a focus on laboratory IQC/EQA, automation, and immunoassay. The successful candidate will participate in reporting, clinical liaison, research, development, teaching, and audit.
The shift pattern is 8:45 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday, with contributions to the on-call advice rota.
Applicants should have advanced specialist knowledge and interpretive skills in Clinical Biochemistry, be HCPC registered as a Clinical Scientist, hold an MSc or equivalent in Clinical Biochemistry, and have obtained FRCPath.
