About the client

Are you an experienced support worker looking to make a real difference in someone’s life?

Introducing Hannah. Hannah is a bright, intelligent young woman born in 2005, with a strong interest in learning and a love for staying active. She lives at home with her family and has a close relationship with her brother. She is currently attending university and enjoys learning, listening, swimming, socialising, and attending community activities.

Hannah has a diagnosis of Cerebral Palsy affecting all four limbs. She uses an AAC Grid 3 for communication; you will need to allow time to answer questions. A team of Support Workers is in place; transfers and personal care require 2:1 assistance to maintain Hannah’s comfort.

Role responsibilities

As a Support Worker, you will:

* Support Hannah in daily living
* Promote Hannah’s learning, wellbeing, and independence at home and in the community
* Ensure all care provided is safe, effective, and person-centred
* Be part of a supportive care team and help maximize Hannah’s opportunities toward independence

Qualities and opportunities

The role is ideal for someone who communicates clearly and confidently, with patience, empathy, warmth, and compassion.

You will receive induction, relevant training opportunities (including The Care Certificate), regular clinical supervision/review meetings, and ongoing support from a dedicated Case Manager and HR department.

Safeguarding and equality

Safeguarding: ILS is committed to safeguarding and promoting welfare. The role requires:

* Proof of eligibility to work in the UK
* Satisfactory references, including your last employer
* An enhanced DBS certificate (a conviction will not necessarily prevent employment)

We are committed to equality of opportunity for all staff. Applications are welcome regardless of age, disability, gender reassignment, sex, sexual orientation, pregnancy and maternity, race, marriage and civil partnerships, religion and belief. If a specific gender is stated as essential, gender is considered a genuine occupational requirement under applicable law.
