Profile
Our client is a UKAS accredited and leading name within the asbestos industry. They are now looking for an organised and competent Asbestos Lab Analyst based in and around the Romford area. The ideal candidate will hold the P401 and will have extensive experience working within the asbestos industry, working within a laboratory setting, preparing samples for analysis and analysing samples for fibre content in line with UKAS accreditations. Applications will be considered from: Basildon, Southend-on-Sea, Dartford, Ilford, Hornchurch, Dagenham, Erith, Stanford-le-Hope, Brentwood, Billericay.
Experience & Qualifications
* Will hold the P401 / RSPH qualification.
* Will have extensive knowledge of the asbestos industry.
* Will have excellent working knowledge of relevant Health & Safety legislations.
* Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Proficient in using Microsoft office.
The Role
* Receiving and appropriately logging samples received by the laboratory.
* Preparing samples for analysis and carrying out analysis of samples for fibre content efficiently and adhering to UKAS regulations.
* Completing analysis test sheets as and when required and ensuring every effort to complete workload within required time frame.
* Building and maintaining a good working relation with customers/clients.
* Getting involved with other laboratory tasks as and when required.
* Other duties include organising, multitasking, and carrying out some administrative duties.
* Entering data and analysing and checking reports.
* Completing and uploading reports as and when required.
* Liaising and assisting clients with regards to enquiries.
* Dealing with internal and external databases and offering technical help to customers and staff.
