In this role, you will work within multiple teams, implementing standards, policies and procedures for continual service improvement. Your responsibilities will include providing first and second‑level support, monitoring system performance, maintaining documentation and ensuring compliance with processes and policies.
Role Responsibilities
* Provide first and second level technical support on incidents and problems
* Monitor overall system performance and ensure smooth system functionality
* Create, maintain, and utilise documentation
* Assist building compliance with processes and policies

Desirable Skills And Technologies
* Proficiency in UNIX/Linux systems (Red Hat, Debian, Solaris, AIX, etc.)
* Shell scripting (Bash, KornShell, etc.)
* Infrastructure as code (IaC): Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, Chef
* Process and job control (cron, at, systemd timers)
* Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NFS, SSH, FTP)
* Filesystem management (LVM, ext4, XFS, ZFS)
* Performance tuning and monitoring (top, vmstat, iostat, sar, netstat)
* Exposure to automation software such as Ansible/Puppet
* Knowledge of scripting with Bash, Python, and/or Git
* Experience of AWS
* Automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
* Virtualisation and containers (KVM, VMware, Docker, Podman)
