Customer Team Leader
Location: The Co-operative Food, 138-144 Lower Luton Road, Harpenden, AL5 4HA
Pay: £13.65 per hour
Contract: 16 hours per week + regular overtime, permanent
Working pattern: varied shifts including afternoons, late evenings (store closing) and weekends, to be discussed at interview

You must be aged 18 or over to be a customer team leader at Co-op, as you’ll need to authorise age-related sales.
We’re looking for Customer Team Leaders to join our team at Co-op.

As a Customer Team Leader, you’ll be part of a friendly team that’s dedicated to helping our customers. We’ll look to you to help lead the store team – coaching and supervising our Customer Team Members and deputising for the Store Manager, while also delivering great customer service and performing a wide range of other tasks around the store like re-stocking shelves and cleaning up spillages.

What you’ll do
* Provide friendly, welcoming, and helpful service, often managing the store and handling challenging situations
* Develop your team's capabilities through coaching and training, fostering an inclusive culture where everyone's voice is valued and respected
* Ensure the store remains safe, legal, and fully operational
* Manage diligence checks and stock accuracy to enhance the shopping experience
* Support your store manager by deputising when necessary and assisting with HR processes
* Lead the introduction of new products and services, working with your team to implement changes and gather feedback
* Build relationships and support the local community, assisting with the delivery of the Co-op community plan
