About Us
Jarzys Appliance Repairs is a local, independent repair business specialising in domestic appliances including washing machines, dishwashers, ovens, cookers, tumble dryers, and fridges. We pride ourselves on honest work, quality repairs, and great customer service.
We're looking for a motivated apprentice who already has some basic electrical and mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience and wants to turn that into a proper career in appliance repair.
The Role
This is a hands-on apprenticeship where you'll learn how to diagnose, repair, and maintain white goods appliances in customers' homes, supported with on-the-job training.
What you'll be doing:
* Assisting with repairs of washing machines, ovens, dishwashers, fridges, etc.
* Learning fault diagnosis and safe electrical/mechanical repair techniques
* Using tools and testing equipment under supervision
* Helping with parts, job setup, and basic admin
* Delivering friendly, professional customer service
What We're Looking For
Essential:
* Basic knowledge of electrics (e.g. college course, home projects, or previous work)
* Some hands-on experience with tools or repairs (DIY, workshop, college practicals, etc.)
* Willingness to learn and take instruction
* Reliable, punctual, and professional
Desirable (but not essential):
* Relevant college course (electrical, engineering, maintenance, etc.)
* Driving licence (or working towards one)
* Interest in fault-finding and troubleshooting
