Sales is the heartbeat of our clients' business, and because of this, they pride themselves on providing a first-class experience to their UK and overseas customers. Specialist in their field, our client manufactures and supplies a large and diverse range of marine propulsion equipment to all sectors of the industry.
The company has been on a consistent upward trajectory in recent years and was recently acquired by a multinational group with a strategy to further expand their existing European operations. For this reason, they are now looking to recruit an additional member of the team to help in the next phase of growth and expansion. This is a predominantly office-based role that will involve customer field visits, overseas travel, and attendance at trade exhibitions.
Responsibilities
* Developing enquiries, building a sales pipeline, and ensuring the highest levels of Customer Satisfaction.
* Preparing technical offers and quotations from customer enquiries.
* Ensuring all customer queries are monitored and managed efficiently.
* Communicating with customers to problem solve and sell the best solution.
* Creating harmonious working relationships with all other areas of the company, including daily dialogue with the manufacturing group.
Ideal Candidate
* Preferably have a Marine Industry background working in a technical/engineering related environment.
* Have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Develop and maintain relationships, as it is critical to our business.
* Be accurate and disciplined.
* Possess energy, enthusiasm, and ambition.
* Be a person who thrives on a challenge and sense of achievement.
* Be IT literate, including Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Excel.
* Possess mathematical and numerical skills.
* Have a strong work ethic, capable of managing a diverse and time-critical workload.
* Be intuitive and reactive, as well as proactive, without continual supervision.
* Have a flexible approach to work and colleagues.
* Hold a current UK Driving Licence.
* Have a valid passport for occasional international travel.
