* Office Attendance: Hybrid – able to travel to Edinburgh office two days per week

* You will lead the on‑going evolution of the Windows Server Team by driving their strategic shift to DevOps practices within AWS.
* This is an exciting time to come on board, as we accelerate our data centre exit, migrate services to AWS, and deepen our integration with the broader Barclays Bank UK ecosystem.
* You will collaborate with multiple technology teams, working closely with the Windows Server and Active Directory teams based in Bengaluru, under the guidance of the UK‑based Engineering Lead.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Collaborate with the Windows Server Team to accelerate their adoption of DevOps methodologies within the AWS ecosystem.
* Coordinate with the AWS Platform team to successfully transfer ownership of the Windows Server bakery images to the Windows Server team.
* Diagnose and resolve issues affecting Windows Server operating systems as needed.
* Remediate all vulnerabilities flagged on Windows Servers to ensure system integrity.
* Collaborate proactively with application owners to facilitate Windows Server upgrades, ensuring all systems remain on supported operating system versions.
We need you to have:
* Demonstrated expertise in implementing DevOps methodologies and best practices.
* Hands‑on experience managing service deployment and operational support within AWS environments.
* Hands‑on experience in deploying, configuring, and upgrading Windows Server environments across multiple versions.
* Extensive experience in supporting and resolving issues across Windows Server environments.
And if you have any of these, even better
* Experienced in providing ongoing support for Active Directory environments.
* Hands‑on experience of Jenkins, GitHub and CloudFormation.
* Strong PowerShell scripting ability.
* Financial Services or regulated industry experience.
