Solution Architect / Senior Solution Architect / Lead Solution Architect - Application & Software
£600-700 per day - Outside IR35
6 Month initial contract
1 day a week on site near Leeds
Overview:
Our client is about to start a greenfield project where we they need a seasoned Solution Architect with strong experience across Application/Platform and Integration architecture to lead the Solution design.The role will focus on HLD, LLD creation, leading/working with the development team and Infrastructure architects as our client integrates two core platforms one internal and one outsourced into a 3rd party external platform. We're looking for someone with strong communication / stakeholder managements skills but hands on in the design and enjoys getting into the detail. The usual experienced is needed such as SOA, API, Platform/Software architecture and RabbitMQ is nice to have.
Responsibilities:
Development of End to End Solution Designs to meet business objectives and great customer outcomes.
Working closely with Software devleopment, infrastructure architects and Technical Business analysts to shape requirements and turn them in to HLD and LLDS and build out Solution designs.
Engagement with business stakeholders when ideas are conceived; and lead in shaping them into deliverable
Provides Technical Leadership to Software development teams and infrastructure architects
Drives alignment of our clients technology landscape with the enterprise target picture, including system retirement.
Provides Design Assurance for Solution Architecture to ensure they are implemented as designed, and to the correct standards and quality
Skills & Experience:
Experience defining, documenting, and architecting and intergrating Software / Platforms, potentially requiring integration with legacy technologies and products for financial services projects
Strong knowledge of IT technologies and architectural styles/patterns but with an emphasis on SOA and API
Experience of providing architectural support and assurance to Software development teams and an application of Agile practices would be advantageous.
Experience leading architectural design authorities for projects
Stakeholder management and the ability to influence at varying levels (e.g. C-Suite, Developers, Testers, Project Managers, etc)
Ability to convey Architecture decisions through the use of a variety of communication techniques to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
