Chippenham Minor Injury Unit is seeking a Band 7 Senior Emergency Nurse Practitioner.

As a Senior Emergency Nurse Practitioner, you will provide clinical and professional leadership, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care. You will supervise and manage a dedicated team of nurses, fostering a culture of excellence, learning, and continuous improvement.

Main duties of the job
* Work with the MIU Operations Manager to ensure compliance with national and local clinical guidelines and standards.
* Develop innovative ways of working and adapt flexibly to improve clinical standards and service delivery.
* Act as an expert resource for clinical practice, participate in training and development of staff and students, and work clinically for a designated number of shifts weekly.
* Maintain accountability for practice following NMC or HCPC Codes of Conduct, policies, and procedures.
* Keep accurate, legible, and up-to-date records in accordance with trust policies and professional standards.
* Work autonomously with patients, families, and carers.
* Analyze complex clinical data to inform diagnosis, investigations, and treatments, enhancing health outcomes.
* Identify potential service developments, risks, and deficits, informing line managers with recommendations based on specialist knowledge.

Job responsibilities
The ideal candidate will have evidence of:
* Registration with the relevant regulatory body (NMC/HCPC)
* Teaching qualifications: ENB998; FETC 730 or equivalent
* Immediate Life Support certification
* A degree or recent equivalent study with willingness to complete further education
* Ongoing professional development evidence
* Training in managing conduct, health, sickness, performance, recruitment, and appraisal
* Significant ED/MIU experience, including autonomous practice at Band 6 or above
* Experience in auditing, clinical supervision, and teaching
* Organizational and political awareness
