This is a newly created role designed for someone who enjoys problem-solving, investigating issues, and providing excellent customer service - without being involved in day-to-day payroll processing. What You’ll Be Doing In this role, you’ll act as a key point of contact for payroll-related queries, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and smooth communication across all parties. Liaising directly with HMRC on payroll submissions, queries, and investigations. Reviewing payroll and tax data to identify and resolve discrepancies. Investigating issues — particularly those linked to education-sector payrolls. Communicating with customers to gather information, explain findings, and provide updates.
