Chef de Partie– Seed Room @ Horticentre, Wakefield ( daytime hours) £13 per hour

This role will suit a chef looking for a challenge but a better work life balance.
The hours of work for this role are daytime hours, generally 8.30am-5.30pm. There are no split shifts and at present no evenings planned.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team and assist the Head Chef with the day to day running of the kitchen.
The position will be five days a week, including Bank Holidays and at least one day of the weekend, working approximately 40 hours per week.
All candidates should be friendly, reliable, hard working, self motivated and have a sense of humour.
The main duties of the role include:-
· Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
· Prepare food for service
· Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
· Ensure appropriate levels of hygiene and cleanliness are maintained in the kitchen
· Answer, report and follow the Head Chef's instructions
· Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and on time
· Stock control
·Skills/ Experience required for the role:-
· Previous experience working in a kitchen providing meals for large numbers
· Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
· Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
· Familiar with industry's best practices
· Knowledge of HACCP
