We are seeking to appoint to the role of Broker for a period of 12 Months,. Out Brokerage Service supports Adults’ Care and Support by brokering placements and packages of care. This includes residential & nursing care, home care, supported living, extra care and floating support. The Team is responsible for: • Brokering care packages and placements, ensuring quality services are purchased while ensuring value for money for the Local Authority. • Working closely with Social Workers to ensure the correct support is brokered. • Ensuring care is purchased using the Local Authority’s contracts and frameworks. • Working with social workers and representatives from the hospital to ensure timely discharges. • Ensuring the required contractual documents are in place i.e. Individual Placement Agreements, Third Party Top Up Agreements, etc..

The Broker role works closely with relevant operational colleagues and Commissioners to ensure Brokering tasks are completed in a timely manner. The workload of a Broker includes the payment of care services for both Adults and Childrens, the procurement of care services for Adults and Care Items for Children.
