Job Description Role: Audit Supervisor Location: Watford (Hybrid) Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience Permanent, Full-Time A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Audit Supervisor to join our client’s established accountancy firm in Watford. This is a key role within their expanding Audit team, providing the chance to lead audits across a diverse portfolio of clients while developing your career in a supportive and professional environment. You will play an active part in the firm’s growth by managing on-site teams, planning and reviewing audits, and ensuring delivery of high-quality service to clients. This position is ideal for a qualified auditor seeking a step up into a supervisory role with excellent progression prospects. Key Responsibilities: Lead audits under the direction of a Manager or Principal. Manage on-site audit teams to ensure timely and accurate completion of assignments. Take responsibility for planning, fieldwork, completion procedures, and preparation of management letters. Assist Audit Managers with delegated tasks such as planning, completion, and file reviews. Support the supervision and work-based training of junior team members. Work across a varied client base including mid-corporates, SMEs, larger groups, and UK subsidiaries of overseas parents. Undertake specialist audits for Pension Schemes, Charities, Solicitors, FCA regulated entities, and Not-for-Profit organisations. The Ideal Candidate: ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent). Minimum of 2 years’ audit experience gained within a UK accountancy firm. Strong technical knowledge and ability to manage multiple audits concurrently. Confident IT user, familiar with modern audit and accounting software packages. Excellent communication and organisational skills. Ability to work independently, prioritise effectively, and meet tight deadlines. Flexible and adaptable approach with a focus on delivering exceptional client service.
