New Directions Education is delighted to be recruiting a committed and inspiring full-time Geography Teacher for a January start, working within a vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Liverpool. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher—or a driven ECT—to make a meaningful difference to young people by delivering high-quality Geography lessons and supporting pupils from diverse and often disadvantaged backgrounds to achieve their full potential.

The Role:
• Teach Geography across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with potential KS5), delivering engaging lessons that build curiosity, confidence, and strong geographical understanding.
• Deliver curriculum content including (but not limited to):
1. KS3: Weather and climate, global inequalities, tectonic processes, ecosystems, map and fieldwork skills, urbanisation and population change.
2. KS4 (GCSE): Natural hazards, UK physical landscapes, urban issues and challenges, economic development, resource management, climate change, and geographical applications such as fieldwork and decision-making exercises.
• Foster a classroom culture that encourages questioning, critical thinking, resilience, and independent learning.
The Ideal Candidate:
• A qualified teacher (QTS) with experience teaching Geography at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential).
• A recent teaching reference within the last 5 years.
• A valid DBS check (or willingness to undertake one).
