About Your Role
The Junior Interior Designer will involve conceptual and detail design development, working cohesively as a member of our multidisciplinary project teams. You will assist in delivering interior design schemes through development of presentation materials and design package information, participate in stakeholder engagement sessions, and consult with members of the wider Design Team to develop and coordinate design proposals.
You will provide interior design support on projects, working flexibly and independently (where required) or in support of the discipline/project lead.
What We Will Be Looking For You To Demonstrate
* Sound technical knowledge of building legislation and product development to undertake the production and coordination of design and construction information.
* Previous involvement across both private and public sector architectural projects, with experience in Workplace Design and some of the following areas: Education, Defence, Residential.
* Ability to input into all stages of an architectural project, in an interior design capacity, from concept to detail design delivery, and manage the delivery of package/project information.
* Able to consult with members of the wider Design Team (e.g. architectural, MEP, structural or IT consultants) to coordinate proposals and advise of potential clashes or design issues.
* Basic understanding of CDM Regulations and Health & Safety principles.
* Problem solving/analysis – using initiative and experience in managing challenging situations.
* Understanding of working with BMS/QMS systems.
* CAD drafting and presentation skills, preferably in Revit (or recognised equivalent e.g. AutoCAD as minimum).
* Specification writing capability with relevant NBS software.
* Experience in Microsoft Office software to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
* Working knowledge of all stages of design and procurement.
* Ability to communicate technical detail graphically and effectively to both colleagues and client teams.
* Must be able to obtain UK vetting level of Security Check (SC).
Qualifications
* BA(Hons) Interior Design, or recognised, approved equivalent.
* Ongoing Continuous Professional Development (CPD) in accordance with, and accredited to, professional institute requirements.
