Reports To: Head of IT
Purpose
The Junior IT Support Executive provides 1st/2nd line support to internal IPA staff, as well as external parties (for example as part of room hire arrangements). Support areas include computers, servers, telephony and AV equipment. In addition to user support, the IT Executive will be expected to carry out project and infrastructure work as required, as well as basic training / inductions of new users.
On the job training and mentoring will be provided. All other training by separate agreement.
The role is expected to comprise of 70% support / 30% project work.
Hybrid Working
The IPA currently has hybrid working pattern of Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in the office with Monday and Friday working from home. This pattern applies to most staff however certain roles including this IT Executive role may be required to come in on other days to carry out work on office-based hardware or support events. On occasion, there may also be a need to be in the office earlier and on the odd occasion to work later.
Main Accountabilities
1. Provide 1st / 2nd line IT support to IPA staff.
2. Proactively support delegates and presenters during IPA / external events (AV).
3. Create / maintain documentation.
4. Carry out project / infrastructure work as requested by the Head of IT.
5. Contribute to IT discussions around projects and research business solutions.
6. Showing initiative and willingness to improve own skills and that of the IPA staff.

The Package
Basic salary £28k to £32k depending on experience
