Job Purpose:
To support the efficient operation of the engineering stores department, ensuring optimal stock levels to maintain smooth factory operations.
Key Responsibilities:
To project manage the design and implementation of projects with the Ballymena Complex including setting of deadlines and assigning responsibilities.
Assist in the day-to-day operation of the engineering stores department.
Ensure stock levels are optimised to support factory operations.
Issue spares according to work order requirements.
Conduct accurate cycle counting and maintain stock accuracy.
Manage and propose changes to the re-ordering system and order points.
Communicate stock shortages promptly to maintain agreed stock levels.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the stores area.
Receive and receipt goods, ensuring delivery notes match purchase orders; report discrepancies appropriately.
Despatch items for repair as required.
Process work orders within the department.
Carry out driving duties to support the department and wider site operations.
Issue stock movement reports in the absence of the purchasing controller.
Project manage design and implementation of projects within the Ballymena Complex, including setting deadlines and assigning responsibilities.
Perform any other reasonable duties as requested.

Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems/ERP systems
Ability to produce reports and manage computer systems
Desirable:
Experience in the poultry or food production industry
Health & Safety qualification
Financial awareness
Engineering stores knowledge
Recognised inventory management or supply chain qualification
Proven background in stock control and computerised inventory systems
Familiarity with CMMS
Understanding of engineering, mechanical, and electrical processes
Recognised IT qualification (e.g., ECDL)
Valid forklift licence
