We’re looking for an experienced Repairs Manager to help lead our Amplius Response service and guide a dedicated team delivering responsive and emergency repairs. You’ll keep operations running smoothly, ensure value for money, and uphold our high service standards. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Property Operations, you’ll shape the service through strong leadership in recruitment, training, performance and safeguarding. Salary: £60,500 per year (plus car allowance)
Contract: Permanent, full time
Your week: 36.25 hours (Monday to Friday 8:45am - 5pm)
Location: Hybrid, with a weekly presence in our Milton Keynes office.
This role will involve travel across the Home Counties and surrounding areas (Bedfordshire, Biggleswade, Milton Keynes, Northamptonshire and Hertfordshire)
Snapshot of your role

Work closely with senior leaders, including Heads of Service, Regional Directors and trade union partners.

Lead the development, mobilisation and delivery of Amplius Response, ensuring an effective repairs and maintenance service.
*
Support resourcing and workforce planning, including apprenticeships, in partnership with People Services.
*
Oversee operational performance, addressing underperformance and learning from complaints.
*
Manage budgets and financial processes, providing accurate information for planning and monitoring.
*
Monitor KPIs to guide service improvements and ensure compliance with Health and Safety requirements.
What we’re looking for

Degree-level education or equivalent experience.
*
Proven experience managing large, mobile teams, including direct delivery repairs staff.
*
Senior-level experience within a high-performing maintenance or property services environment.
*
Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, resources, and cost-effective operations.
*
Skilled in performance management, risk management, and health and safety compliance.
*
Genuine interest in housing and alignment with Amplius values.
*
Ability to engage, empower and support colleagues through change, with a personable and adaptable approach.
A full UK driving license is essential for this role.
