Overview
We are looking for an experienced administrator and corporate governance professional to lead our Corporate Affairs Team in supporting the work of the Board of Directors. This is a varied role interacting with key stakeholders, both internal and external, to ensure that the Trust operates with integrity, transparency and accountability. The post holder will have high levels of personal organisation and be able to manage a fluid and responsive team workload that aligns with legal requirements, ethical standards and strategic objectives. The post holder will provide a comprehensive meetings management service including the development of agendas, authoring and issuing papers, management of meeting arrangements and minuting, and tracking and following up on agreed actions. The post holder will manage the Corporate Affairs Team and arrangements related to the Board Development Programme, lead on board/committee effectiveness reviews, and ensure outcomes are presented to the relevant sub-committees and Board. The post holder will lead a team of Corporate Affairs Officers who provide a comprehensive support service to non-executive directors and governors and undertake duties to ensure effective corporate governance arrangements are in place for legally required registers. They will lead on the compilation of the Annual Reports and Accounts.
Responsibilities
* Lead the Corporate Affairs Team and manage all governance-related activities to support the Board of Directors and non-executive directors.
* Provide a comprehensive meetings management service: develop agendas, authoring and issuing papers, organise meeting logistics, minute meetings and track actions.
* Manage arrangements related to the Board Development Programme and lead on board/committee effectiveness reviews with outcomes reported to relevant sub-committees and the Board.
* Support non-executive directors and governors with a comprehensive governance and assurance service.
* Ensure effective corporate governance arrangements are in place for all legally required registers.
* Lead on the compilation of the Annual Reports and Accounts.
