Grounds Maintenance Team Leader – Ormskirk

About the Role
A leader role within Glendale’s Corporate team, driving quality grounds maintenance across the region. As team leader you will guide a small team, oversee day‑to‑day operations and maintain high standards of safety, discipline and service.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist supervisors and senior team leaders in delivering scheduled maintenance.
* Take responsibility for on‑site works, including timekeeping, break management and interaction with the public and deliveries.
* Lead by example, motivate and guide the team, maintaining workforce discipline.
* Operate and ensure others operate company vehicles, machinery and equipment with care; conduct daily checks and routine servicing and record them properly.
* Undertake other duties as reasonably required by the supervisor.
Qualifications & Experience
* Experience in grounds maintenance essential.
* Confident person with good people‑management skills.
* Adaptable to a range of working techniques and a strong work ethic.
* Experience using a wide variety of small‑engine machinery.
* Good IT knowledge.
* Full clean driving licence required.
* PA1 & PA6 desirable.
* Aware of all relevant industry health & safety legislation.
* Reliable, conscientious and able to work on own initiative.
