JOB DESCRIPTION: SEN Teaching Assistant Croydon Location: England, Greater London, Croydon Job Type: Contract, Full-Time hours Primary Industry: Education and Training Salary: £90 - £100 Per day Benefits: PAYE Job Duties: Supporting the learning and development of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) Assisting the class teacher with planning and delivering tailored educational activities Providing one-to-one support to students with SEN to help them access the curriculum Collaborating with other professionals, such as educational psychologists and speech therapists, to support student progress Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students Required Qualifications: Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification Experience working with students with SEN Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures Education: Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths Experience: Previous experience in a similar role within an educational setting Knowledge and Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively as part of a team Patience and empathy when working with students with SEN Basic knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions Preferred Qualifications: First Aid training Mental Health First Aid qualification Working Conditions: This role will involve working in a classroom environment with students with SEN. The working hours are full-time, and the successful candidate will be expected to work collaboratively with the teaching staff and other professionals.
