We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Inventor Lead to drive the continued development of our Design for Manufacturing (DfM) processes. This role will play a key part in creating efficient, integrated workflows from design through to manufacture.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about digital manufacturing, innovation and improving design-to-production processes using Autodesk Inventor and related technologies.
Main duties will include
* Facilitate the use of Autodesk Inventor to support project delivery.
* Lead the identification of opportunities to improve and develop Design and Manufacturing capabilities; actively identifying and reviewing new technology, software and solutions relevant to the business.
* Manage all aspects of DfM across project design development, from tender to manufacture.
* Ensure production information is produced accurately, efficiently and according to programme and budget as well as being compliant with client requirements.
* Work with the Production and Operations teams in relation to output such as cutting lists and bills of materials, driving an integrated, digital and automated manufacturing process.
* Identify benefits and lessons learned to enable continuous improvement.
* Roll out Inventor training within the Design and production departments.
What we are looking for
* A proven track record of experience in a Design for Manufacturing role.
* Strong experience with Autodesk Inventor (Woodwork for Inventor desirable).
* Experience leading or mentoring teams.
* Excellent problem-solving, organisational, and communication skills.
* Ability to deliver results in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
* A qualification in construction, architecture or a related field, experience in joinery, interior fit-out, or shopfitting projects and knowledge of AutoCAD would be beneficial but are not essential.
