Overview
English Teacher – Flexible short-term and long-term opportunities available immediately. These flexible opportunities are ideal for teachers who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different secondary school settings. You will be supporting pupils in Dereham and the surrounding areas, delivering engaging English lessons across a range of classes and key stages.
Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging English lessons using provided plans
* Teach key areas including literature, language, reading, writing, and comprehension
* Support students in developing strong communication and analytical skills
* Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies
* Adapt teaching strategies to support learners with different abilities
* Assess and record pupil progress when required
* Collaborate with colleagues during longer‑term placements
* Contribute to the wider learning environment
Qualifications
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Strong subject knowledge in English language and literature
* Confident behaviour and classroom management skills
* Ability to motivate and inspire students across varying age groups
* Adaptable across different school environments
* Good communication and organisational skills
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
