Description
We're looking for a Trainee Accountant to join our Stockport office.
This role is ideal for someone currently studying AAT Level 3 or Level 4 (or equivalent) and looking to build on their existing experience in an accountancy practice.
You will work alongside experienced professionals, developing your technical and client-facing skills in a supportive and collaborative environment - with clear progression opportunities as you advance through your studies.
Key Responsibilities
• Preparing accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders
• Assisting with tax returns and VAT filings
• Performing bookkeeping and reconciliations
• Supporting payroll processing
• Communicating with clients and preparing financial reports
• Using cloud-based accounting systems and Microsoft Office tools
Key Requirements
• 1-2 years' experience working in an accountancy practice
• Currently studying AAT Level 3 or 4 (or equivalent)
• Good working knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office tools
Additional Requirements
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to work
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• A driving licence and access to a car is preferred
