Join Our Team as a Governance and Controls Specialist!

In this role, you will ensure that our processes and business operations align with the ICE framework and the Finance Manual, creating a robust control environment that fosters continuous improvement.
Your Mission:
As a Governance and Controls Specialist, you will:
* Lead work programs targeting specified risk areas.
* Develop initiatives to enhance controls and upskill associates on their responsibilities.
* Own the internal audit follow-through, ensuring timely closure of audit observations.
* Provide support during external audits as needed.
What We’re Looking For:
To thrive in this role, you should have:
* Proven experience in Financial or Audit departments.
* A solid understanding of the internal control environment and accounting processes.
* A grasp of how business and technology strategies interact and enhance processes.
* Advanced skills in Financial Processes and Controls, Accounting, and ERP systems.
* Competencies such as being action-oriented, results-driven, and capable of planning and prioritizing effectively.
Your Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will:
* Identify and prevent control issues through ICE audits and reviews.
* Ensure controls are designed effectively and documented in line with ICE and the Finance Manual.
* Document processes and suggest improvements for controls.
* Develop remediation plans to mitigate identified risks, including Segregation of Duties (SoD).
* Follow up on internal audit observations and support external audits.
* Respond appropriately to fraud and theft incidents, including R25 reporting.
* Keep local S&F policies and procedures up to date.
* Support the QMP and Indirect buying agenda within the unit.
* Act as a champion for Controls and Governance, promoting a culture of accountability across the business.
