What you will do Ensure adherence to UPM safety standards and environmental policies Undertake preventative and corrective maintenance Troubleshoot plant and equipment issues Refurbish equipment as required Perform core cutter duties Form part of the site-wide Emergency Response Team Maximize availability and reliability of the production process and CHP plant Work a shift pattern comprising two 12-hour day shifts (6:00–18:00), two 12-hour night shifts (18:00–6:00), followed by six rest days; cover absences and holidays as required Who You Are You must have served a recognised apprenticeship in Electrical or Instrumentation, be qualified to HNC level and have experience in a manufacturing environment. You will be an analytical troubleshooter able to fault find, maintain and repair plant and equipment associated with a continuous industrial process. You should be able to work safely, be self-motivated, have good communication skills, be a team player but also able to work on your own initiative while having the commitment and organizational skills to manage your responsibilities efficiently and effectively. You have experience with industrial automation equipment You have knowledge of PLC/DCS systems You have experience working with LV and HV switchgear (up to 11KV) You have expertise in variable speed drives and AC & DC motors You are competent with engineering drawings and documentation You have experience using a maintenance management system You have knowledge of relevant Health and Safety legislation and a working understanding of Electricity at Work Regulations (EaWR 1989), Permit to Work, and LOTO systems This is what we offer to you A meaningful job: We have an inspiring purpose “We renew the everyday for a future beyond fossils”.
