Teaching Personnel is recruiting graduates to work as Learning Support Specialists in Durham secondary schools. It's hands-on classroom work supporting students across Years 7-11, and it's a solid way to figure out your next move - whether that's teacher training, educational psychology, or something else entirely. What you'll be doing: Working alongside teachers to support students who need extra help - academically, socially, or behaviourally. You'll run small group sessions, work 1:1 with individuals, help deliver lessons in English, Maths, and Science, and generally keep students engaged and progressing. You'll need: A degree in Psychology, Education, Sports Science, Childhood Development, or similar Some experience with kids or teenagers (tutoring, coaching, mentoring, volunteering - anything relevant) Good people skills and willingness to learn on the job Interest in careers like teaching, SEN support, or educational psychology Why Teaching Personnel: Weekly pay via PAYE (no umbrella company fees) Real classroom experience that universities can't give you CPD training and professional development References for PGCE or postgrad applications when you're ready Pay: Competitive daily rate Hours: Full-time, term-time Start: September 2025 Location: Durham If this sounds like you, send your CV.
