We have an exciting opportunity for a Logistics Manager to join our operations Team at our brand-new, state-of-the-art, manufacturing facility in Basingstoke.
The role:
As Logistics Manager, you will manage the day-to-day activities of the logistic department.
Key duties:
* Leading and managing the day-to-day activities of logistics team, including workload planning, performance management and development.
* Setting, monitoring and reviewing team KPIs, such as OTIF, freight costs and shipment performance.
* Collaborating with Customer Service team on order status.
* Ensuring timely date management of customer orders and schedules of shipments
* Providing a hands-on approach to support shipments as required.
* Acting as the company lead for customs regulations, import/export compliance and trade compliance.
* Maintaining strong working knowledge of Customs Tariff classifications and import/export procedures.
* Developing and maintaining group trade compliance policies and procedures.
* Ensuring shipping documentation, customs records and logistics processes are accurate and compliant.
* Identifying and implementing processes to improve efficiency and customer service levels.
* Ensuring efficient and cost-effective distribution and movement of goods.
* Coordinating freight movements and managing relationships with freight forwarders, carriers and logistics providers.
* Working cross-functionally with Planning, Purchasing, Production, Stores and to support customer order and operational priorities.

* Professional accreditation in customs, trade compliance, shipping or logistic
* Demonstrated leadership experience
* Experience in shipping management
* Excellent problem-solving skills
* Self-stater with the ability to drive projects
* Commercially aware and able to work cross-functionally.
* Good interpersonal skills
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
