Poultry Farm Manager – Ducks – Lincolnshire – £35,000 + Benefits
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Poultry Farm Manager to take responsibility for a specialist duck operation in Lincolnshire. Working closely with senior management, you will oversee day-to-day farm activities, lead and develop a site-based team and ensure the highest standards of animal welfare, biosecurity, health & safety and operational performance. This is a hands‑on management role within a progressive agricultural business, offering the opportunity to play a key part in livestock performance, data collection and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage all day to day farm operations and staff activities
* Lead, motivate and develop the site team through effective training and communication
* Ensure the highest standards of duck welfare, biosecurity, and health & safety compliance
* Oversee livestock performance monitoring, data collection, and reporting activities
* Coordinate flock movements, stock allocation, and site throughput planning
* Manage farm preparation, cleaning programmes, and turnaround between production cycles
* Maintain accurate operational records and ensure compliance with company procedures
* Liaise with veterinary, production, and management teams to ensure smooth site operations
* Monitor equipment maintenance schedules and ensure operational readiness
* Drive continuous improvements in efficiency, quality, and site performance
The Candidate
* Previous experience managing a poultry, duck or livestock farming operation
* Strong people management and leadership skills
* A good understanding of animal welfare, biosecurity and health & safety requirements
* Excellent organisational and planning abilities
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with multiple departments
* A proactive and hands‑on approach with a focus on continuous improvement
* Experience in livestock performance monitoring, record keeping, or production reporting would be advantageous

* All applicants must hold a minimum of an NVQ Level 2, Scottish NVQ Level 2, or an equivalent qualification relevant to the role applied for.
